Betano App Review – A Comprehensive Guide To Features, Betting Options & User Experience

The Betano app was launched in June 2024 – a brand operated by BetVictor Gaming Limited. The brand claims that the Betano app allows punters to “Bet faster and easier than ever before”.

We put that claim to the test by downloading the  Betano app and putting it through its paces.

How to get the Betano App

The Betano app is accessible on all mobile devices that can connect to a mobile web browser, obviously including Android and iOS.

You can head to the Apple App Store/Google Play Store to download and install the native apps. Alternatively you can access the Betano mobile website, which delivers a very similar experience.

Registering for a Betano account

Account registration with UK licensed betting apps all follow a very similar process, with bookies looking to make the process as user friendly and quick as possible.

From tapping the sign up button, I was fully registered within 2 minutes. Enter your name, address, phone number, date of birth, email address, set an account password, set contact preferences, agree to terms and the process is complete.

There were also a number of new customer offers available to me when I registered, which could be claimed for a limited period of time after sign up. 

Layout And Feel

The layout was a familiar one to me from the off, albeit wrapped in a different branding colour. As the brand Is owned by BetVictor Gaming Limited, it uses the same software as other betting brands under the umbrella, including the BetVictor app itself.

Therefore, although this app is still early in its development, it has a solid foundation to build upon. Here is how the app looked while I was writing the Betano app review.

In Play Betting

A dedicated in-play section makes finding markets on live events an easy task. Tapping on a live event opens up the relevant markets, as well as information and statistics on the action that has already played out.

There’s also a live visual graphic and written commentary keeping you informed in real time on what is occurring out on the pitch, court, etc.

Cash out

Betano offer cash out options on selected markets across Football, Tennis, horse racing, Basketball, Snooker, Badminton, Table Tennis and Volleyball.

Markets that have the cash out feature available are marked as such with an icon of a hand holding a bank note.

There’s the option to cash out the whole bet, as well as partial cash out, whereby you can leave a percentage of the bit to ride on the final outcome.

Bet Builder

The Betano app has a Bet Builder tool attached to their football section that is up to scratch with the best UK betting apps. This can be found within  the market page of applicable matches alongside the popular markets and bet boosts filter.

There’s an impressive amount of markets that can be combined together (from the same match) to make a multi-pronged single bet.

With so many markets available, there is a clunky feel to it and it can take a while at first to find the markets you are looking to combine. That said I was able to create my own unique bets l, that I was unable to create on some of the most popular betting apps in the UK.

The Bet Builder feature has recently received an upgrade, enabling you to now combine different bet builder bets from different matches in to a bet builder accumulator.

The Betano app is also stacked with pre-built bet builder bets that are proving popular amongst the punters – some of which are given a friendly odds boost.

One small fault I did come across in regard to the bet builder tool was that the dedicated bet builder section found from the football homepage did not work. This is supposed to show a dated list of all the bet builder matches, but failed to show any despite the fact there were multiple matches with bet builder available. Therefore, I had to select a match displaying the bet builder icon and then use the bet builder from there. I would expect this to be fixed in a future update.

Quick Bet

Bets can be placed as quick as three taps of the screen with Betano, thanks to the quick bet feature in place. When a selection is made a quick bet slip pops up with pre set stakes available to choose from. You can either choose a preset stake or manually enter one and then all that is left is to tap the place bet button.

If further selections are to be made, the quick bet box can be minimised allowing you to browse through events and markets.

Bet Finder

A handy feature attached to their horse racing section is the Bet Finder tool. This allows you to apply filters to a specific day, meeting or race to highlight horses that meet the specific criteria.

For example, searching for all five star horses, who have won at today’s course, won at today’s distance, at medium odds with a jockey in form.

The bet finder will then provide results, if any horse matches those requirements.

Bet Boosts

Betano do not shy away from providing Bet Boosts to their users. These are offered across most sports and popular events. However, we have found the standard odds offered to be somewhat below other bookmakers. Therefore, the odds boost are well needed to stay competitive in the marketplace, in terms of price.

Offers And Promotions

From the moment of registering until now, I have been showered with a wide range of bonuses and promotions. Such as:

Depositing and Withdrawing

Depositing funds in to a Betano betting account can be done via two methods:

1. Apple Pay (for iOS)
2. Debit Card (Visa or Mastercard)

In terms of withdrawal times, Visa users whose bank uses the FastFunds facility can see their money showing in their accounts as fast as 30 minutes from a withdrawal request being approved. Debit cards without the FastFunds facility can expect money in their account in between 2-5 days.

Final Thoughts

The Betano app hasn’t been round long, but with the backing of BetVictor Gaming Limited, it has fast tracked to become a feature rich sports betting, casino and live casino platform.

You’re not going to pick up best price here very often, but you will be able to get involved in plenty of offers that can bring value that cannot be found elsewhere.

I’m still using the Betano app. Mainly for the checking of offers and to place Bet Builder bets on the football. It has shown enough of a use to keep its place on my personal mobile devices.

It’s fully licensed to operate in the UK, it is built on a safe and secure platform and has been reliable and stable even at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Therefore, it has enough about it to consider downloading and checking out, in my opinion.
