AK BETS have experienced rapid growth in a short space of time. From on-course bookmakers at Killarney in 2021, they branched out in 2023 to launch their very own fully licensed AK BETS app. It is a very new UK-licensed betting app and we expect it to expand over time.

The AK BETS iPhone app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. Search for “AK Bets” and follow the prompts to install the app on your device.
Once installed, you can create an account or log in if you already have one to start betting on your favourite sports.

The AK Bets Android app can be located on the Google Play Store for users over the age of 18. This app is still very much in its infancy stage. This is evident by the fact that when we were reviewing the AK BETS Android app, it had only been downloaded just over 100 times. This is low compared to the top Android betting apps which have passed over 1,000,000 downloads.

AK BETS Mobile Website
AK BETS have a fully mobile optimised website that can be accessed from any mobile web browser. This service provides the exact same features and functionality as the native apps, but with the small difference of the URL bar showing either at the top or bottom of the screen.
Appearance And Navigation
AK Bets hosts a clean and intuitive interface, making it easy for you to navigate and place bets without any unnecessary complications.
The app has a dark-themed appearance, with orange trim to match the brand colouring. Scrolling banners at the top of the homepage displays the most popular upcoming events and offers.
Underneath we found a handy scrolling horizontal menu bar displaying over 20 different sports and betting categories. Down from that you can view the next off-horse races, as well as the events that are live and in play.
In terms of navigation, we had no issues getting to where we wanted to be, even when we first started reviewing the AK BETS app.

Although there is a small focus on horse racing on the Ak BETS app, there are also lots of other markets to browse through and bet on.
The app covers a diverse array of sports, from mainstream favourites like football and tennis to niche options like TV, personalities and politics.

One of the standout features of the app is its live betting section, allowing users to place bets on ongoing matches and events in real-time.
Betting Statistics
We found the app provides you with access to comprehensive statistics and analysis for each sporting event, empowering you to make informed decisions based on data and insights.
The In-play event pages displayed an animated commentary on the action, making it clear exactly what is occurring. There are also stats on each element of the play.
One area that AK Bets is lacking is that the app does not display horse racing form. We find this quite disappointing. You can view how the odds have shortened or drifted since the market opened which is a nice touch, but we would like this to be accompanied alongside the form stats.

Live Streaming
You can view all of the UK and Irish horse racing action straight from the AK BETS app. All that is required is for you to be logged in to your account.
The app has an intuitive Live stream viewer that will allow you to watch the race and view the racecard at the same time in portait.
Alternatively, we turned the phone in to landscape mode to get a full-screen view of the race. While in full screen there’s the option to pull up mini casino games to try while the race plays out. This is shown below, taken during our review of the app.
Bet Builder
This type of bet is available with AK BETS. There were well over one hundred markets available to be combined in the Bet Builder when we were writing our review.
One small improvement that we would like to see here is the ability to be able to combine bet builder bets together to make a multiple bet builder bet. This is available with some of the more established and best online bookmakers. However, it was absent when we were testing.
As AK bets are still developing, this may be added in the near future.
Mobile Casino at AK BETS
You can find a dedicated casino hub in the bottom menu bar of the AK BETS app. Twelve gaming providers have partnered up with AK Bets to provide you with hundreds of casino and slot games.
So no matter whether Roulette, Blackjack or slots are your bag, AK BETS has you well covered! Additionally, games be tried for free using play money so that games can be explored and made familiar before committing real cash to them.
Secure Payment Options
The app offers secure payment options for depositing and withdrawing funds.
However, the only payment option that is offered by default is a debit card. VISA, Mastercard and Maestro are all accepted, but there’s no option for E-wallets or cryptocurrencies.

The AK Bets has made a steady launch in to the online betting market. It hasn't been rushed out, nor has it been years in development. There are enough features and services built in to give this app it's deserved place in the App stores, but there's still improvements to be made to make it a true competitor to the big players in the market space.

How long have you used the app? I’ve used and have been testing the app now for 3 weeks.
What is your favourite feature of this app? Integrated live streaming for UK and Irish horse racing, along with greyhound racing is a big plus here. The fact there are now wagering requirements involved in order to watch a live stream is also generous and beneficial.
What is this app best for? Horse racing is the main focus of the app, evident from the fact this is the first sport visible on the homepage. Therefore, those betting on the horses will probably be those who get the most from this app.
