When it was first launched it was known as Betfair same game multi and this used to be listed on the tab. Over time the term bet builder has become more prominent in the industry causing Betfair to change the name to match.

We’ve had a go using this and compared it to other bet builders available – find out everything you need to know here.

What Is Betfair’s Bet Builder?

Betfair’s Betbuilder is a same game accumulator on football matches. It allows you to build a bet from a selected range of markets.

Like all bet builders, this allows you to place multiple bets on the same market for a specific match. You can choose from who will win the match down to how many corners one team will have in half of the match. This means you can pick your selections based on the pre-match stats or from your own premonition.

When testing the bet builder I found it easy to use and place my bets. The range of markets was excellent and it is similar in standard to most bet builders from major bookies.

How To Use Betfair’s Bet Builder

I found building my bets with Betfair easy as ultimately you play in the same way you’d back an accumulator.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open the Betfair app you do not need to be logged in to use this bet builder
  2. Navigate to the football tab and tap on the match you wish to bet on.
  3. Tap on the bet builder tab at the top, it is next to the main markets tab the match view opens up.
  4. Make your selections, these go into the bet slip in the top left where the odds will show in a little dropdown box.
  5. If you wish to remove a selection you do need to go to the bet slip and then back to the market view.
  6. Once you are happy with the selections you can go to the bet slip, add your stake and tap place bet. You also have the option to take the bets as singles as well if you wish.

Step 4 – Enter your stake and tap place bets

Place the bet

In order to win all the markets must win, just like an accumulator. There are cash-out options on selected bets and you can build as many legs in as you like as long as they are not related markets. You will not get longer odds for certain selections that are the same as other selections.

Betfair Bet Builder Example Bet:

Let’s say you wanted to bet on a fixture between Ajax and Manchester City with a Bet Builder.

There are a number of markets you’d be able to choose from (see below). In this instance you may want to place the following markets into one bet:

  • Haaland to have 3+ shots on target
  • Both teams to score – yes
  • Over 5.5 match corners

In order to win the bet, each of the markets must come through for you to win. If one failed, for example, your bet would lose.

There are more options than this and they are mostly open when you first visit the app. We found this is not the most intuitive bet builder and feels clunky when you are trying to build a big bet. We much prefer Bet Victors #PriceItUp bet builder – You can read why here.

Are Other Sports Available?

Currently, Same Game Multi is only available on football markets with Betfair, although as it becomes more popular than could well change.

There are potential ways around this, with the opportunity to request a bet through their #OddsOnThat service. All you need to do is tweet @betfair with the hashtag and the odds you’d like, and they’ll get back to you with a link to place the bet.
