When Tuesday March 12th, 2024 comes round, your phone should be filled to the brim with all the finest bookmaker apps, top strategy guides, and quickest news feeds to put you in the perfect place to cash in on an acca.
Below we’ve very handily broken down all the apps you need from various categories ahead of the festival…
Best Cheltenham Betting Apps
Of course, we’ll start with the bookies. It’s where we all place our bets and ultimately it’s where you’re going to win (hopefully) your money.
There are dozens of great apps for iPhone and Android on the market, so we’ve highlighted just a couple that really do go all in for the Festival and the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
bet365
bet365 have been offering a solid online betting service for some time now. They offer strong prices across all sports and have exclusive offers that you cannot find anywhere else.
Accessing the races is extremely easy. It takes just three taps of the finger to view any of the festival race’s race card during the antepost period. Tap the horse racing icon in the top menu bar, tap antepost in the top menu of the following page and all the races are available in a nice, ordered list. Tap on a race and the odds for each horse will be shown.
bet365 have historically offered Non-Runner, No Bet and Best Odds Guaranteed across ALL of the races on the run up to the Cheltenham festival. We anticipate them to be offering the same this year, although that is yet to be confirmed.
Additionally, there are a host of other offers that are available all year round that could benefit those who like to bet on the Cheltenham Festival.
Here’s a few details on some of them:
Leading up to the Festival bet365 have a blog post that is updated every Monday that highlights the market movers in the Cheltenham races and sums up the race meets from the week previous.
It provides some valuable insight in to how the betting markets are shaping up, as well as bringing to attention the horses expected to feature in the festival that are bang in form.
William Hill
William Hill always delivers great odds across the entire horse racing calendar, but when it comes to Cheltenham it really does go into overload.
With a huge amount of enhanced odds and free bets to play with, it’s the ideal app for playing Cheltenham with and it comes directly from one of the country’s true horse racing experts.
The app itself is easy to navigate and throughout the Festival you’ll always find the latest odds on their home screen.

Betfred App
Betfred has always had horse racing at the core of its service. They were the owners of The Tote from 2011-2019 and hold a big presence actually at the racetracks. The app itself offers informative racecards and has racing post verdicts integrated into them to provide opinions to the statistics.
It’s safe and reliable and has regular promotions that add extra value to your selections. They are offering money back on select festival races if your horse finishes second, as well as extra places in others.
Here is what they are offering new customers leading up to the festival:
BET £10, GET £50 IN BONUSES

BetVictor App
The BetVictor app is another app worth having at your disposal for the Cheltenham Festival. It has a good layout, making it extremely quick and easy to access the Cheltenham Festival races.
BetVictor are a well established bookmaker who offer value, not just across the Cheltenham Festival, but all year round. They are a worthy option across all of the popular sports, in our opinion. Check out below what Betvictor are offering new registering customers, specifically for the festival.
Paddy Power
Paddy Power is well known for their specials, especially in the money-back category. Because of their renowned specials, the Paddy Power app has to be one of the best for promotions and bonuses.
The app itself is not bad either. It is reliable and robust, even when it is experiencing heavy traffic. Therefore, this makes the Paddy Power app a logical choice to use, in our opinion.
Paddy Power has a great Podcast called “From The Horse’s Mouth” Which is worth a listen on the run into the festival. Ruby Walsh and others break down each race and give their thoughts and provide angles others haven’t even thought of.
Go To Paddy Power’s Podcast Channel
Paddy Power offers a best odds guaranteed on all UK horse racing, meaning that if you take an early price and the start price return is greater, Paddy Power will pay you at the better odds.
Paddy Power was also the first bookmaker this year to offer non-runner, no bet across all of the Festival races. They have some fantastic offers available for festival punters, be it new or existing customers. Check them out below

Best Cheltenham Sites & Apps For Statistics
Of course, deciding which horse to back very much depends on a lot of things. Form, length of race, ground, jockeys and many other things should be taken into account, meaning reviewing the stats are vital.
There are tons of great mobile apps for Cheltenham offering you all manner of stats, with many keeping up-to-date and delivering news as it comes through.
Below you’ll find some of the best apps to download to keep you in the know on all things Cheltenham in the run up to the festival.
Racing Post
The Racing Post app is one of the best Cheltenham apps if you are looking for in-depth, reliable information on horses or races quickly.
With smart race cards and detailed information on each horse including race record, form, pedigree, breeding and trainer/owner/jockey/breeder information this is clearly one of the best.
Racing Post App Android Download (UK Only)
All the races are already showing for the Cheltenham Festival, giving you plenty of chance to do your research and monitor progress. The Racing post app is available on the app store for iPhone/iPad users and is available on Android from the Google Play Store.
Digital Edition
If you want to read The Racing post paper there is a digital edition available on iPhone and Android via the app store. This is via a subscription but it’s worth the money, in our opinion, with all the in-depth analysis and tips for Cheltenham.
Cheltenham Festival Guide
The Cheltenham Festival is a 4-day racing extravaganza that is billed as “The Greatest Show on Turf”. From Tuesday to Friday you can see 5 feature races a day along with 2 later races. The event is huge in the racing calendar and attracts interest from all over the world. From the opening race of Tuesday, the Supreme Novice Hurdle, to the last feature race on Friday, the Gold Cup, is a non-stop roller coaster of betting action.
For all those new to Cheltenham, below you’ll find a full run-through of everything happening across the week and our tips for the races!
Tuesday
Tuesday always gets underway with the Cheltenham Roar when the riders get underway in the Supreme novices hurdle. The day is renowned for short prices favourites in 4 of the 5 main races and they’re usually all Willie Mullins horses. Past winners for Mullins on the day have included Vautour, Min, and the incredible Douvan.
Wednesday
Wednesday at Cheltenham is known as Ladies day so if you’re at the racecourse get ready to see lots of high fashion and lots of fascinators. The races are much more open on Wednesday with a number of races having larger fields and no short-priced favourites. Personally, this is my favourite day at the course as there’s always a chance of some longer odds winners and places.
Thursday
Thursday is a mixed bag of races and a tough one for picking winners. It’s often said that at Cheltenham the first day is always the punter’s day, with the bookies making it back on Wednesday and Thursday!
Friday
Friday at the Festival sees the pinnacle race run – The Cheltenham Gold Cup. This is a prestigious race to win and has been won by some big names over the years. This race has seen many hero horses cross the line first. Best mate and Kauto Star being two of them. Most recently, it’s Willie Mullins and Al Boum Photo have held the bragging rights, picking up back-to-back wins in this prestigious race.
